The days have been long and hard at the shop. Last week was filled with dent repairs, details, window tinting, clear bras and some motor detailing. Anthony finished painting the Cayman Engine and now it’s awaiting the lighting. It looks awesom! We caped the week off with a couple of Ferrari details.
The week ahead is busy with work scheduled for Vollmer Service Center, Victor’s Service Center and another other roll bar and racing seat install for a Porsche Turbo
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Upgrades were preformed today at Concours Auto Salon to a white Turbo Carrera. These were safety upgrades for one of their Porsche owners who likes to tale his car to the track. When your pushing 750 hp you really need to start thinking about more then just stock seat belts and a helmet. All parts were provided by the customer. Concours was contracted to do the work because their attention to detail and the fact that they would probably be a little more careful then the dealer would have been.
Rear seats were removed as well as the front seats. Next Bubble wrap ane pads were placed around doors, dash and center consul. Then the roll cage was inserted into the cockpit of the vehicle. There were some difficulties lining the holes that bolt the cage in but were over come with finesse strength and persistence. Next came the assembly of the new Porsche Carbon Fiber seats and the 6 point harnesses. some slight modifications were done to insert the mounting bar for two of the harnesses under the seats. Finaly the seats were installed and the remainder of the plastic wrap was removed from the roll cage.
The installation took about 5 hours from start to finish. Concours has another one scheduled for next week if all the parts are shipped on in time.
